Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows will soon support native PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) control for PTZ-capable cameras. PTZ controls will be displayed in the Camera settings pop-up menu when the Enhanced framing option is disabled.

Before Deployment: Currently, native PTZ commands are not visible in local camera settings menus for PTZ-compatible cameras.

After Deployment: Administrators will be able to enable or disable this feature for each Teams room on Windows via device administration settings. The default setting is on.

Availability
General availability (worldwide, GCC): Microsoft will begin deployment in mid-September 2024 and plans to complete by the end of September 2024.
General availability (GCC High, DoD): Microsoft will begin deployment in early October 2024 and plans to complete in early November 2024.
How to prepare?
This deployment will take place automatically on the specified date. Inform your users of this new feature and update any support documentation.
