Please note that changes are coming to the management of your resource accounts in the Microsoft Teams administration portal. To activate Teams Phone features such as automatic switchboards and call queues, resource accounts are required.
Microsoft, with the aim of increasing security and compliance, is going to reinforce the way in which resource accounts are managed. In this spirit, there will be new requirements for Teams administrators. Currently, Teams administrators can create and manage resource accounts without user management permissions in Microsoft 365. However, to reinforce security, changes will be implemented in the management of resource accounts. From now on, Teams administrators will also need permissions to user management in Microsoft 365 to create and manage resource accounts.
