Microsoft Teams continues its transformation into an intelligent meeting assistant thanks to Copilot. After introducing Intelligent Summary – an AI-based automated meeting summary – Microsoft announces a new evolution: the integration of on-screen shared content into generated summaries.
From transcription to augmented intelligence
The Smart Summary already allows you to :
- Generate video chapters
- Identify action points
- Produce clear summaries
- Synchronize transcriptions with speakers
But now, thanks to Copilot, it will go a step further by capturing the details displayed on screen during meetings. This means that non-verbalized but visible information(whiteboards, presentations, diagrams, etc.) will be integrated into the summary, offering a more complete view of the meeting.
Compatibility
This feature will be available on :
- Teams for Windows
- Teams for Mac
- Web Teams
- Teams for iOS and Android
Requirements and deployment
- Requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot license
- No administrative action required: functionality will be enabled by default
Deployment
Microsoft will begin the rollout in mid-September 2025, and plans to complete it by the end of September 2025.
🔍 Impact on organizations

- Enriched summaries including shared visual elements
