Microsoft Teams continues to innovate, offering ever more comprehensive and effective communication solutions. The last new feature to come is the integration of SMS directly into the Teams application, whether on desktop or mobile. This feature will enable Teams users to stay connected with people outside their organization, even if they don’t use Teams.
What does this new feature bring?
With this new capability, Microsoft Teams Calling Plan users in the USA and Canada will be able to send and receive SMS directly from the Teams application. This greatly simplifies communication with customers, partners or anyone else who doesn’t use Teams, without having to leave the application.
Benefits of integrating SMS into Teams
- Simplified communication: no need to juggle multiple applications to send messages. Everything is done directly from Teams.
- Increased accessibility: Users can easily contact people outside their organization, expanding their communication possibilities.
