MTRoW Update 5.4.210.0

Microsoft has released a new update for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows. Version 5.4.210.0, released on September 29, 2025, introduces several interesting new features that enhance the meeting room experience, particularly in the areas of AI, interactive whiteboards, and camera management.
As always, certain features require a Teams Rooms Pro license to be available.

Facilitator Arrives in Teams Rooms

One of the most interesting new features in this version is the integration of Facilitator into scheduled Teams meetings.

Participants in a Teams meeting will be able to take advantage of the AI features associated with Facilitator, including:

  • Automatic Creation of Meeting Notes
  • Agenda Follow-Up
  • Managing Meeting Time
  • Contextual Searches Using AI

All of this is displayed directly on the room’s main screen and can be accessed after the meeting via the Teams desktop or web clients.

Microsoft continues to invest in collaborative spaces.

With this update, you can now connect a certified touchscreen console to an interactive display such as the Surface Hub 3. This allows users to control the meeting from either the interactive display or the Teams Rooms console.

Web Browsing on Interactive Whiteboards

Another interesting new feature: interactive whiteboards in Teams Rooms on Windows can now use Microsoft Edge in incognito mode to access business applications or websites directly from the meeting room.

Improved recognition of participants in the room

Microsoft is also continuing to develop Cloud IntelliFrame.

Participants physically present in a room can now be identified in the meeting roster (on the right) using facial and voice recognition. This improvement helps remote participants better understand who is actually attending the meeting.

Managing these settings has also become easier, as administrators can now manage recognition settings directly from the Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal, without having to use PowerShell.

Greater visibility with multiple cameras

For organizations using multiple cameras in their Teams Rooms, this release also improves the experience.
Video previews and camera settings now display all available video feeds, allowing you to see exactly what will be shown to remote participants.
In addition, multi-camera views and IntelliFrame are now supported in certain webinar and structured meeting scenarios.
