Microsoft unveils a new update for Microsoft Teams Room Devices for Windows (MTRoW).
Features with the icon are only available for rooms with a Teams Pro license. This new version includes the following updates:
- IntelliFrame Cloud
Cloud IntelliFrame makes non-intelligent (AI) cameras smarter. With Cloud IntelliFrame, participants in the room appear similar to remote participants, creating an immersive, engaging experience for everyone. Whether working from home or in the office, participants are able to see every facial expression and reaction, as if they were there in person. - Smart camera support
IntelliFrame enables multi-stream video, facial recognition of participants in the room, active speaker recognition, transcription based on voice attributes and panoramic video on cameras at the front of the room (180-degree view) and in the center of the room (360-degree view), taking Windows-based Teams room cameras to a whole new level of intelligence. - Front Row gallery enhancement: video segmentation with unified background
This feature removes individual backgrounds, adjusts the size of video participants and applies a unified background for remote participants so that they appear as if they are in the same room. This reduces distractions and gives participants in in-room meetings a better connection to remote participants in Team meetings. - Spatial audio in the Front Row experience
Spatial audio brings next-generation audio to the Front Row experience when connected to stereo speakers. This intelligent audio technology offers a more natural and inclusive experience for participants in the room by playing audio from a channel closer to the physical location of remote participants on the frontline layout, making remote people feel as if they’re in the room with them and reducing meeting fatigue.
