Starting this week, a collection of over 20<\/strong> of the most popular Snapchat filters<\/strong> will be available for Microsoft Teams desktop clients, giving you a new way to express yourself, build relationships and make your meetings shine. You can add for example a pair of glasses, like the picture below, or even better, add a cat on your head that massages your head! Why not use these filters to express more of your personality in your next team meeting and connect with your colleagues?<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Filters will allow your users to add augmented reality effects to video calls, bringing a more vivid human interaction to meetings. Augmented reality captures and processes information from a physical environment, then overlays it with virtual objects and information, allowing us to see and experience the world in a different way. Because augmented reality uses cameras, sensors and displays, which are already built into video conferencing, it fits perfectly into Teams.<\/p>

If you have already joined a meeting and want to choose a filter:<\/p>

  1. Click on“More…”<\/strong> at the top of your meeting screen<\/li>
  2. Click on“Video Effects<\/strong>“.<\/li>
  3. Scroll down in the right pane and select ” Snapchat<\/strong> ” in the “Filters” category<\/li>
  4. Scroll down to see everything and select your favorite filter<\/li>
  5. Click on“Preview<\/strong>” to see your selected goal without others seeing it or“Apply<\/strong>” to activate your filter for your meeting<\/li><\/ol>

    Microsoft has also made sure that you can control the activation of this new feature, if you don’t want to allow it in your company. The Microsoft 365 tenant administrator will have control to enable\/disable<\/strong> the availability of video filtering applications. Please note that these applications are enabled by default.<\/p>

    For now this feature is only available for “classic” Microsoft Teams customers and will be available in the new Teams application by the end of the calendar year.<\/p>
