Preparation is required <strong><u>before the end of February 2026<\/u><\/strong> to avoid any service interruption. <\/p><h4><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f510.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd10\">  Why is Microsoft making these changes?<\/h4><p>SIP signaling between Microsoft Teams and SBCs is based on <strong>mutual TLS authentication (mTLS<\/strong>), requiring certificates that comply with strict rules.<\/p><p>Since February 2025, major browsers (Chrome, Firefox) have announced the <strong>depreciation of &#8220;dual-use&#8221; TLS certificates<\/strong> (server + client authentication in the same certificate). From <strong>June 2026<\/strong>, only certificates complying with these new rules will remain fully reliable on the browser side. <\/p><p>Microsoft is therefore anticipating these changes by updating the <strong>root certification authorities<\/strong> used for the Teams SIP interface.<\/p><h4><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f5d3.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\uddd3\ufe0f\">  Key dates to remember<\/h4><ul><li><p><strong>End of February 2026<\/strong><br><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f449.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc49\"> SBCs must be updated to trust the new Microsoft and DigiCert CA Root.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>End of March 2026<\/strong><br><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f449.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc49\"> Microsoft will provide a <strong>test SIP endpoint<\/strong> to validate TLS connectivity:<\/p><ul><li><strong>FQDN<\/strong>:  <code>sip.g1.pstnhub.microsoft.com<\/code><\/li><li><strong>Port<\/strong>: <code>5061<\/code><br><em>(SIP OPTIONS only &#8211;
